Every document you submit is built as JSON and XML, and BTS answers with an XML response. Those four payloads are the only place your customers' item lines, prices and details are stored here — tell us how long to keep them. We always keep the rest of the record (ETDUI, authorization number, document number, totals, status and dates), which is what your submission history and billing are built from.
